Window Into An Artist

Speaking out, one lyric at a time.

Window Into An Artist is a short-format video series looking into the cultural and social justice topics that inspire a musician’s work.

Throughout history, artists have used music as a pathway to be heard. To speak against injustice, to be a voice for those who need a megaphone, and to bring hidden ideas to life.

We hope to shine a light on the injustices and topics they are passionate about.

Window Into An Artist is a short-format video series looking into the cultural and social justice topics that inspire a musician’s work.

Overlapping minds.

By weaving together a thought provoking interview with live performance, the series compels the audience to think about music on a deeper level. Window Into An Artist provides a glimpse into a musician’s vision as they speak their mind on what they stand for.

A platform for the voices behind the music to speak out.

Shut down bullshit you hear. Then unpack it and dismantle it.

Window into an Artist is multi-part interview series as part of our larger Myriad Originals series, Window Music.

Window Music is a greater hub for music based content, like live performances, artist interviews, and music videos.  Episodes and promo clips are hosted on the official YouTube and Instagram pages.

From addiction to feminism.

So far, we’ve heard from seven musicians; Bangzz, Pat Junior, Skylar Gudasz, Wednesday, KT Tunstall, Ben Folds, and The Dead Tongues. Each focused on a topic in their music that was meaningful to them, from addiction to mental health, mansplaining to feminism.

Check out all the interviews over at our Window Music YouTube page.

“You could either be sexualized or invisible. That was so infuriating, because I just wanted to be a human...I want to participate.”

Erika Libero, Lead Singer of BANGZZ
